Village Study Report of Mbebali – Bafut

The focus of this study was to investigate development problems in Mbebali village-Bafut sub division, with the objective of facilitating and training the community members by training them in identifying, collecting information, analyzing and making recommendations for solving problems of rural development using the available local resources.

As catalyst and facilitators, the-inter disciplinary Participatory Rural Appraisal Team of nine was able to progressively involve the people in all the stages of the research in which they participated actively. In order to achieve this process, the team applied theoretical concepts to practical field situations using the Participatory Rural, (Relax, Rapid) Appraisal (PRA). In the course of the study PRA tools were used in the collection and organization of identified rural problems with the community. After identifying the problems, they were prioritized using some tools and possible solutions were provided in the form of a suggested development plan (SDP).
